Libertarian Presidential Nominee Crowned
The Libertarian Party chose their Presidential nominee at their convention in Denver this weekend. Former Democratic Senator Mike Gravel was a candidate, as was former Republican Congressman Bob Barr. So was Las Vegas businessman Wayne Allen Root. So were a dozen other candidates. Reporter Blake Welsey was at the convention and tells who won.
PART 2:
A keynote speaker at the Libertarian National Convention was Richard Viguerie, one of the founders of the modern conservative movement. Viguerie is a self described Berry Goodwater-Ragan Republican, but says he's fed-up with the Republican establishment, says they've lost their way. Viguerie says he is trying, "to bring all American politics to the right" in order to create a new "conservative rebellion."
